2nd Annual Charity Skins Game Tournament Announcement

Homestead Funding is proud to be the Hall of Fame Sponsor for the 2nd Annual Charity Skins Game Tournament to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady on June 20, 2023, at the Mohawk Golf Club. Last year’s event managed to raise $250,000! The event was an incredible success, and a recap is available here.

The Boys & Girls Club of Schenectady is proud to announce the four professional golfers who will be playing in the Skins Game: Billy Andrade, Chris DiMarco, Rocco Mediate, and Tim Herron!

Blaine McCallister will be returning at the host of the tournament! A PGA pro golfer since 1981, McCallister has played on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour with five professional wins. He has been a frequent player and crowd favorite in the Capital District for over 25 years.

Rocco Mediate is a 6-time PGA Tour winner and 3-time PGA Tour Champions winner. In the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines South Course, he finished as a runner up after losing the first sudden-death hole following an 18-hole playoff to Tiger Woods.

Billy Andrade is a 4-time PGA tour winner and 3-time Senior tour. In 2022, he earned the Payne Stewart Award after being recognized for exemplifying Stewart’s values of character, charitable efforts, and sportsmanship.

Tim Herron has 4 PGA Tour victories, including a playoff win at Bay Hill Invitational. He is currently a player on the PGA Tour Champions.

Chris DiMarco has won 3 times on the PGA tour and placed second in the Masters after losing to Tiger Woods in playoff in 2005. He also played in the Ryder Cup in 2004 and 2005. In 2005, he sank a 15-foot putt to clinch the Presidents Cup over Stuart Appleby.

Founded in 1936 by a volunteer group of community leaders, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady has always aimed to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The Club currently reaches over 11,000 young people annually, and over the last two years, the organization is proud to have not closed its doors for a single moment during the pandemic. They did this all while serving over 100,000 free nutritious meals, addressing basic needs, and providing a safe place for young people to learn, grow and have fun with their peers.

Ticket sales this year are going to the Matty Frankel Foundation. The foundation is committed to providing children and young adults with the resources and opportunities they need to achieve their academic and athletic goals.
