Philip Reece

I’m blessed to work with Homestead Funding. I work with a pool of very talented and engaging coworkers. We all have different approaches to business, which makes us successful in our own rights. I believe that my approach works well because I try to educate every client on the ins-and-outs of the mortgage process and treat them as if they are my only client. It’s important to me that my process is informative and transparent. This allows my clients to make educated financial decisions because I have provided them with all of the tools necessary to do so. Prior to working for Homestead, I was a retail manager for Eastern Mountain Sports and now have been in the mortgage industry for ten years. I attended high school in Rocky Point, NY (Long Island) and my college studies were at Appalachian State University, NC and SUNY Albany. I am originally from Rotterdam, NY and still call the area home. When I’m not working I am a volunteer firefighter with the South Schenectady Fire Department in Rotterdam, NY. I enjoy using my (limited) free time to give back to the community and help my local residents who may find themselves in a moment of need. I’m also passionate about the outdoors; I enjoy cycling, running and hiking. I also have a love for cars. I restore and modify older BMWs and off-road vehicles. Lastly, I’m a passionate photographer.
