It’s a busy Spring and Summer season for Homestead Funding and our Helping Hands! Here is a brief look at the community and philanthropy events we’re proud to be a part of.
May 18 marks the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge, the largest running event in the Capital District. Homestead’s employees will be participating and representing the company. Registration and donations benefit the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club and Rotterdam Community Center’s expansions of their food pantry programs.
June 4 will be the 2023 Capital Region Heart Walk & Run for the American Heart Association. As longtime supporters of the American Heart Association, we’re honored to be an event sponsor. Employees will also be walking, running, and volunteering during the event. The American Heart Association aims to raise awareness about heart-healthy lifestyles to prevent heart disease and stroke.
On June 11, we will be participating in marching in the Capital Pride to show support and solidarity with our LGBTQ employees and the greater Capital Region community. Organized by the Pride Center of the Capital Region, fundraising benefits their local programs, trainings, and services.
June 20 will be the 2nd Annual Charity Skins Game to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady, who currently serves over 11,000 young people annually. Ticket sales this year will benefit the Matty Frankel Foundation, a charity dedicated to providing children and young adults with the resources and opportunities they need to achieve their academic and athletic goals. Homestead Funding is a Hall of Fame Sponsor of the event with Loan Originator Joel Slutsky organizing. Last year’s event was an overwhelming success with $250,000 raised.
