First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit

Newly enacted legislation providing tax credit as much as $8,000 for first-time home buyers (anyone not owning a home in the past three years) plus $6,500 for current homeowners with five years eligibility requirements.

Like so many of the good things in life, time is of the essence for first-time home buyers who want to take advantage of this outstanding opportunity.  Only homes purchased on or before April 30, 2010 and closing before July 1, 2010 are eligible.
